Dog Vaccinations - The Facts

Posted by admin on 27 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Wildlife

Bailey is a three year old Bull Terrier, and she’s the love of Maruchy Perez’s life.

Maruchy is a singer, and the summer that Bailey was born she was working for one of the Disney ships out of Port Canaveral (half her luck - sounds like a great lifestyle!).

Maruchy had researched the the breed for two years before she met the breeder who lived about five hours away from where Maruchy lived.

Bailey was born in Brooksville forty miles north of Tampa on the 4th of July. The breeder sent pictures of the litter to Maruchy after they were born, and Maruchy picked Bailey out from the many pictures she received while on the Disney ship.

Bailey went home with Maruchy some nine weeks later, and she was everything Marchy had hoped for. She was a hand full but a lot of fun.

But it wasn’t long before the challenges started. Maruchy noticed that Bailey was sick a lot, with either hives or vomiting or diarrhea or all three. Maruchy repeatedly took Bailey to the vet who usually gave her cortisone for the hives, and pills to prevent dehydration.

When she was four months old Bailey was given her rabies shot.

Over the next four months, Bailey went from a loving puppy to a very nasty and aggressive dog with BIG teeth.

Maruchy spoke to the vet, the breeder, animal trainers, and anyone who she thought might be able to help. Bailey had become so aggressive that at one point it seemed as everyone was saying “put her down”.

Maruchy couldn’t bear the though of it. She was desperate to find a better solution. After another month of living in fear, Maruchy contacted an “animal communicator”, Diane Samsel, who told Maruchy to take Bailey off the commercial dog food she was on immediately, and to find a holistic doctor. The animal communicator also advised Maruchy to let the holistic doctor know that Bailey had “auto immune vaccinosis”.

Maruchy did exactly what the animal communicator suggested. She ceased the commercial dog food, and set up a consultation with a holistic doctor, knowing that Bailey was a very sick little dog, and determined to save Bailey from a terrible fate.

Bailey showed signs of improvement withiin two days of being totally off commercial dog food! Maruchy started her on a raw food only diet and went to see a wonderful doctor who agreed to consult with Maruchy and treat Bailey. With the animal communicator’s guidance, Maruchy instructed and helped the doctor give Bailey the holistic medicines she needed to get her back on track.

For more information on the effects of vaccinations in pets, go here: http://www.HealthyHappyDogs.com/RemoveToxinsNaturally.

Maruchy’s understanding of Auto Immune Vaccinosis is that it is a condition which can arise when the body has been given so much poison by way of vaccines, that the body starts to reject one of its own organs. In Bailey’s case, her body was rejecting her liver. Bailey couldn’t control herself and was in a lot of pain, and she regressed to a behaviour reminiscent of times past when aggression was actively encouraged in bull terriers in order to fight them. The liver is also said to be the recepticle for feelings, from a holistic point of view, including anger.

Who is a candidate for Auto Immune Vaccinosis? Basically anything that lives and has organs that can be poisoned by injecting the body with the so called “anti-virus”. In other words, pets are at a very high risk due to the very high number and frequency of so-called essential vaccinations. And because the vaccinations aren’t necessarily given in doses which take into account the animal’s size, small dogs are probably at greater risk than large ones. But any dog can be susceptible.

Now that Maruchy has eliminated the vaccines and petfood toxins from Bailey’s system, she’s very careful not to expose Bailey to other poisons - including household chemicals.

For information on eliminating toxins from your dog’s life, thereby improving his/her health significantly, click here.

Maruchy sent me some cute pictures of Bailey and her playmate, Halle, Maruchy’s other dog. You can see the pics here: http://www.HealthyHappyDogs.com/BaileyPics.

Wow, what a story! I know these vaccinations (not to mention cortisone as well) can do harm and can build up in the dog’s system. I’m surprised it happened so soon with Bailey. At only 8 months old! That’s really frightening, isn’t it? To think of the potential harm it can do to an older dog when they’re given these drugs regularly over a lifetime.

When I started on my “journey” with my Healthy Happy Dogs site and newsletter, I really wasn’t aware of just how important a holistic approach is for dogs. I’d actually always had my dogs vaccinated. But not any more. The last time I received the reminder letter from the vet that my dogs’ annual shots were due, I took them for an examination, but NO shots this time. And NO more cortisone for my Rottweiler’s skin irritations (which have improved radically since I’ve been supplementing with vitamins).

I actually expected an argument from the vet when I said I wasn’t going to agree to any more vaccinations. But guess what? She said that was FINE - the important thing is to bring the dogs in for a checkup - the vaccinations are certainly NOT essential. I couldn’t believe it! Why continually vaccinate a dog when it’s not ecessary?? I was dumbfounded. I’ve done a lot of research, and know this to be the case, but for my vet who has always routinely pumped poisonous vaccine into my dogs every year to admit it was totally unnecessary - I was dumbfounded.

Bailey’s story (and my experience with my vet) are such an important lesson for you. Now, please don’t misunderstand me - I’m NOT advocating abandoning your vet’s advice - PLEASE ALWAYS discuss your concerns and your intentions with your vet. There may be valid reasons why your particular dog may need a particular vaccination (especially puppies). And some jurisdictions have legal requirements for certain vaccinations.

But whatever you decide, please MAKE SURE that you take your dog in for a general health checkup at least once a year.

Why You Should Consider New Balance Shoes

Posted by admin on 26 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Wardrobe

What is a good brand of shoes to consider when it comes to your comfort and performance? I have checked into a lot of shoe brands, and each offers a number of benefits as well as a claim to be the best. Then, of course, there are the numerous celebrity and athlete endorsers that preach the benefits of every shoe out there. There is, though, one brand of shoe you should consider on the merits of its engineering design and fit: New Balance Shoes. The engineering and technology that goes into the shoes produced by New Balance makes them worth a second look, but it isn’t like you would even need a second look.

New Balance shoes are comfortable athletic shoes with an emphasis placed on walking shoes. They are often recommended by podiatrists, but carry no endorsements. New Balance Shoes have an “endorsed by no one” policy. They would rather let their technology and feel act as the sales points for their shoes rather than a celebrity or athlete. They feel that you will know just how good their shoes are by taking a look at the reviews and listening to the feedback by word of mouth. Check out a customer review on any website or in any magazine and it will become apparent that New Balance shoes are the way to go. Also, by not paying celebrity or athlete endorsers, they save enough money that you will find their shoes very reasonably priced for the high level of performance and comfort you will get.

New Balance shoes are also available in several different styles, and each is specially designed by the company’s engineers to fulfill a specific need. There are shoes for motion control, extra support, and off road running to name just a few of the many. New Balance shoes also come as specific sports shoes, like basketball shoes and cross trainers for both men and women. Additionally, New Balance shoes come in a children’s shoe line that is very highly regarded as well.

Almost as important as the style available from New Balance shoes are the variety of sizes available. New Balance sheos are available for purchase in extended widths. That is an important feature, because you know that if you have wide feet you often have to order special custom shoes to meet your needs. New Balance just goes ahead and produces those shoes on a more mainstream basis so they are easier to find.

When you look for new shoes, functionality, comfort, and price are likely all factors in your decision. That is why you should at least consider New Balance shoes for your feet. They are offered in a number of style and with varying features for whatever you need out of an athletic shoe. New Balance shoes are also not endorsed by any highly paid celebrities or athletes, so they can afford to sell their shoes at a lower price. Finally, they are offered in extended widths if you are in need of such accommodations in a shoe. NO matter what the reason, you should certainly at least consider New Balance shoes for your next pair of sneakers.

Why ALL Sales Decisions Are Based On Emotion - Here’s The Proof!

Posted by admin on 26 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Sales Techniques

Have you ever gone into a newsagent, picked up a magazine and flicked through the pages for a while, read the index, read some of the pages in the magazine?

From my research your answer will almost certainly be yes, at some time. So let me ask you why did you stand there reading the magazine instead of just saying to yourself, ‘I’ve read this magazine before, I think I’ll buy it?’

The answer is, because you wanted to know you would get value for your money. You wanted to know more about what content might benefit or interest you in your life. And you really wanted to know if the magazine was worth your $5 or so!

After all $5 is $5. You don’t want to risk throwing it away, do you? So instead you stand there reading for a while, as long as you need to (without feeling guilty or locking eyes with the shop owner), to see if you can establish enough VALUE for your money.

Could it be that you feel an APREHENSION about spending your money? Of course you do, you ‘feel’ a risk anytime you part with money. And apprehension is an emotion.

Let me give you another example of why there is always an emotion present in a customer in a sales scenario…

Have you ever told a lie to a sales person? Of course you haven’t, is your first reactive answer. But think about this, have you ever entered a shop and been asked if you need help then replied with ‘no thanks, I’m just looking?’

That’s the knee jerk reaction to the most common question in sales, ‘can I help you’.

Now, have you ever thought soon after replying with that knee jerk reaction that you wish you hadn’t of said that?

If so then you’ve just told a lie. And why do you tell small, little, white lies? Could it be that’s you’re afraid of sales people… because they might pressure you into making a rash decision you regret later on?

Its funny… but they say sales people tell lies to customers. Maybe we learn how to lie as sales people by telling lies to sales people when we’re the customers!

Don’t get serious on me here. This is just poking fun at human nature, but the lesson is… there is emotion present in customers when they talk to sales people.

Here’s one final example…

When we’re customers and we look for a service or product selling business from say, Yellow Pages, what’s one of the first questions we commonly ask when we call the business?

Often a question we ask is ‘how much does it cost?’

The reason I’ve noticed that people ask that question is that it’s the only intelligent question they know how to ask! That’s because as customer who are quite lacking in knowledge on what we are buying. So instead of telling the sales person ‘I don’t know anything about your product or service’, so we can totally rely on their recommendations and ‘trust’ them, we instead pretend that price is important by asking them that question.

If the sales person is smart, they will realise the customer wants information, not a price, so they can make an informed decision about suitability of their own emotion needs and benefits.

What’s happening here is that we don’t like anyone to think we’re dumb. We fear asking a question about a product or service we don’t normally buy, in case we ask something that makes us feel stupid!

Instead we play the ‘price game’.

By now I would think you’re starting to agree that emotion always plays a part of any sales scenario. There is evidence all around us in society that says money always travels hand in hand with emotion. Where we risk losing it, we have apprehension, even with $5 next time you go to the newsagency to read a magazine!

Tim Stokes has studied emotional needs of people applied to sales and marketing more than most people you will find in the world.

Locate and Secure Gorgeous Art Reproductions

Posted by admin on 24 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Lifestyle Hall

Finding the perfect painting for your home decor is not always
easy. If you’re an art lover, you probably have a difficult time
choosing among the many great paintings available. Many art fans
choose oil reproduction paintings instead of originals to get
the painting they want at a reasonable price. Oil reproductions
are beautiful hand-painted recreations of famous paintings from
the past. But even when buying reproductions, choosing the right
one can be tough.

Below are several factors to consider before purchasing an oil
painting reproduction.

Where Will You Hang the Painting?

If you plan to hang the painting in your home, determine a
location before making your purchase. Will it hang in the living
area, dining area, near stairs, or in a hallway? Will the
painting hang on a wall that’s free of other decor items or
furnishings? How much space is available to hang the painting?
Knowing this information up front will give you an idea of what
style and size painting you’ll need.

Write a “Must Have” List Before Shopping

Before you begin your search for a painting, write a list of all
the decor requirements it should meet. Here are some questions
to get your wheels turning.

1. What color patterns dominate the room where it will hang? 2.
Do you want the painting to create a certain mood in the room?
3. Will the painting need to complement other paintings or
photos in the room? 4. What style frame will it need?

Choose by Artist

Perhaps you have a favorite artist, and you’re thinking of
buying a reproduction of their work. There are many ways to find
painting reproductions by your favorite artist. Internet
technology makes searching for specific paintings easier than
ever, and you can usually find what you’re looking for quickly.
You can search online by artist or theme, or both. For example,
search for ballet scenes by Edgar Degas by typing in search
keywords about ballet along with the artist’s name.

Another way to find reproductions is to contact art reproduction
companies using a directory until you find the painting you’re
looking for. You might be able to order the painting by mail or
online if it’s not available in your immediate area.

Never Sacrifice Quality

One primary reason art collectors and fans love art
reproductions is the quality. Art reproductions aren’t merely
copies or prints of the originals. Experienced artists use
special skills to study and hand paint each reproduction the way
the original artist created it. Look for excellent quality and
close comparativeness to the original before buying a
reproduction to get the finest possible painting.

Art reproductions will make a great addition to your art
collection and home decor. Keep these tips in mind, and you’ll
enjoy your painting for years to come.

Finding the truck accessories distributor

Finding the truck accessories distributor

Truck accessories distributor

It wasn’t too long ago that finding a truck accessories
distributor meant a lot of work, miles and effort. These folks
are the lifeblood for most of our truck needs. There was a time
we could drive the street and see them all over but finding what
we needed may have taken more than a few stops. Today, most of
the small and even specialty shops have fallen by the wayside as
the truck accessories distributor most likely swallowed up by
the big chain stores.

The new kid on the block today are the outstanding internet
website for general or specialty truck parts, supplies and
accessories. The fun is now back in shopping as we grab our
favorite drink, kick off our shoes and let the click of the
mouse do the work. We can purchase online anything you could
possibly conceive. From pickups to atv’s there’s the product
we’re looking for.

Not only are we going to enjoy our experience but we’ll find
good bargains and generally wholesale pricing with good money
back guarantees. In just a few short days our order lands up on
the front door with no muss no fuss.

We don’t need to hunt help and deal with the total lack of
interest we’ve become exposed too today in the store front.
Anymore I feel that I’m intruding when I go for help. Enough of
that nonsense. So much for the mighty chain stores marketing -
it’s simply the bottom line but we’ve lost that people feeling.

No wonder the internet has become rapidly our choice in
shopping. Accessories for Toyota, Dodge, Chevy, Ford, GMC and
Nissan trucks are now easy to find, at the right price, shipped
normally the same day fro m major manufactures through the truck
accessories distributor. So enjoy your shopping experience.

A Handy Customers Article to High Definition Television’s

Posted by admin on 24 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Shopping Stuff

Around a decade ago the idea of a wall-hung television might have been seen like an electronics dream. It was out of the reach of the majority of electronic punters, with outstandingly high charges that requested taking out a second mortgage to buy these especially shiny televisions. Nevertheless, over a period these dream TV sets reached the point of attainability. Nonetheless, currently not something you can just go out & buy, it has of late unexpectedly become much more of a possibility. Costs for these flat panel High Definition TV sets are at this instance decreasing quicker than new residential house prices, & have made the daydream a reality.

Presently there are two opposite flat-panel technologies: plasma & LCD. While each make offers a marvellous picture & these TV sets may deem almost identical from the front, the equipment on the inside is quite dissimilar. And thought LCD TV’s have been limited to 37 inches & below, sets with the liquid crystal display technology are at this present time in sizes as huge as plasma.

Although, even with that, many shoppers conclude plasma to give more than a few key selling points over LCD TV’s. The main benefit is that plasma TV sets classically incorporate deeper black levels-denoting that the blacks are really black & not no more than just a dark side of gray. This in turn means that the colours are much more vibrant & lifelike. The most up-to-the-minute models from Toshiba and Wharfedale have in fact taken the black levels to inconceivable depths, & thus have provided the greatest images we’ve viewed to date. Stop your search today as Digital Direct has great offers on Plasma and LCD TVs.

Despite the rumours that plasma TV sets “needs to be recharged” after six thousand hours, nothing could be far more from the fact. These days flat panel plasma tellies would often function for 60,000 hours or more, awarding you years of fantastic viewing. While there has been an anxiety over issues such as burn-in (appropriately so, as this may possible ruin that expensive plasma telly), the most recent TV’s include equipment to sort out picture retention, giving pixel shift methods that gradually move the complete screen and more decisively, take away any ghosting should static images essentially “stick” the picture. This consists of a white wash mode not counting an inverse mode to take away any burn-in.

Be a Networking Leader-Show Them the Mirror

Posted by admin on 23 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Best Social Resources

Do you want to be a networking leader who’s loved and respected… or one that’s loathed and feared? If you answered yes to answer A, then it’s time you started showing people the mirror.

Show them the mirror, what’s that mean? It means thinking of other people’s egos before your own. Because, after all, that’s what really secure people do.

“Showing them the mirror” is basically this: when someone looks at you, reflect them back at themselves. Showing the mirror means remembering small details about people in your networking travels… and bestowing heartfelt compliments whenever you can.

The fact is, folks are dragging their weary selves around, trying to look chipper and wondering if they’re worth a flying fart or if it’s all an illusion or what. If you want to be a good leader, it’s your job to remind them of their worthiness. So next time you want to sing and shout your own praises, don’t do it. Even if you accomplished something unbelievably great… keep it to yourself for now. Just feel happy and peaceful, alone with your personal victory… for a little hush of a moment.

Then, take that happy and secure feeling bubbling up inside of you, and use it to help someone else. And hold up the mirror to whomever is standing there before you awaiting their due recognition. Say something like, “I remember the time you said (whatever they said), that was AWESOME!” –and MEAN it!

What would you rather be… that person who is known for making others feel good, or that braggart who got everyone’s knickers in a crimp and quickly fled the scene?

When someone steps up and starts puffing out his peacock feathers on a forum, it’s irritating. You know this marketer, he flounces in, makes a big racket and hurries away to go brag at some other group. He’s very declasse, and you do not want to be like him!

As you develop your leadership skills, think about the humble newbie. Remember that he or she doesn’t always have the greatest confidence. But YOU, dear marketing leader, do! So when those little newbie marketers look your way with the star-struck eyes full of marketing dreams…

Show them the mirror.

If I had a little internet mirror, I would put it up in this article. That way, when you looked at me, you’d see yourself. And then when you thought of me, you’d think of yourself. And when you thought of yourself, you’d think of me. And that’s a happy association that can only mean good things down the road… for you, and me.

You see?

Save Your Marriage From Boredom and Predictability

Posted by admin on 22 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: School of Relationships

Although a divorce is - or at least shouldn’t be - a goal by itself, it is a fact that more than 50 percent of our marriages end this way. Here are a few tips to save your marriage. You can find more tips by searching for ” marriage tips ” online.

If you and your mate have scheduled some time for a Friday night dinner, a relationship tip would be to put together a surprise instead. For example, if your mate loves professional wrestling, buy some tickets near the front or if they like concerts, purchase the tickets ahead of time, getting the best seats possible. When Friday night comes around, insist on driving and head toward the location where the event is taking place. When your wife asks where you are going, simply answer, “I have a surprise for you. I know you love professional wrestling so I purchased two great seats for tonight’s performance,” or “I know we had planned on going to dinner, but I wanted to surprise you with something special. I purchased tickets to see one of your favorite groups in concert.” The idea of you getting the tickets for something THEY like and then keeping it as a special surprise will touch the heart!

Here is another tip

If your mate has to work late and you know he had a bad day, surprise him with a late-night gourmet meal. When you hear him arrive home, greet him in new, sexy lingerie, a warm kiss, and wonderful hot meal. After he picks himself up off the floor, he will fall in love with you all over again for this wonderful greeting. If reversed and the woman is coming home, after giving her a lingering kiss, have her join you in the dining room where the table is set with soft glowing candles and a wonderful meal. Have an envelope lying by her plate that when opened, reads, “This certificate is good for one thirty-minute massage after dinner.” This is how
you keep romance alive!

Order in some of your favorite food, open a bottle of fine wine, light some candles, and lay out a cozy blanket in front of a roaring fire. Enjoy feeding each other food, sneaking little kisses in between. This wonderful romantic moment will help build your relationship even stronger. This kind of gesture shows your mate that you really want something special from your relationship and that spending quality time together is a priority.

Unexpected Competition

Posted by admin on 22 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Biz Ops

We all worry about competition and are constantly striving to give better service and products than our competitors. The task is almost overwhelming at times, especially if you are a home business and the only “employee” in your company. From scouting out the competition to thinking like a customer and studying their marketing method, this is a time consuming and sometimes humbling experience that is necessary to remain in the game.

While worrying about the competition is important to your business, it CAN be harmful. In fact, YOU could be your biggest competitor and actually harming yourself! Are you spending so much time investigating and trying to outdo your competitors that you neglect your other duties? If you have spent more time in the last week trying to “one up” the competition than you have spent working your business, its time to wake up!

Take a hard look the things you can do in your own business to help you succeed. Perhaps there is something you dread doing and have been putting off. Don’t procrastinate. Jump in there and get it done. The constant worry and dread of it could be slowing you down. You may also be surprised that the secret to having an edge over the competition is hidden in that dreaded task. Let the competition tear each other apart. Focus on YOUR business and how you can be the best you can be. Take a quick look around once in awhile and then go back to your business.

Competition is a fact of life. You can embrace it or let it drag you down. Investing time in yourself rather than your competition is the key to success.

Public-School True Believers With A Mission

Posted by admin on 22 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Misc

One reason public schools get away with educational failure,
year after year, is because they are run by school officials who
passionately believe in what they are doing. As the great
English writer C. S. Lewis wrote, “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny
sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most
oppressive. Those who torment us for our own good will torment
us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own
conscience.”

Public-school true believers often fall into this category for
over a hundred years, education “experts” have been tormenting
our children with public schools, allegedly for the children’s
benefit. Like all true believers, these people believe that they
know what is best for our children and society, and seek to
enforce their beliefs on parents.

>From the 1850s to the 1920s, public-school activists such as
Horace Mann and John Dewey worked to create a public-school
system like the one they admired in Prussia (Germany). Mann and
Dewey considered public education a religion, with a holy
mission to mold children and society. Simply teaching children
to read, write, and do math was too commonplace a goal for them.
Mann and Dewey wanted the schools to have total control over
children’s lives. This meant removing parents’ influence over
their children. Mann put it this way: “We who are engaged in the
sacred cause of education are entitled to look upon all parents
as having given hostages to our cause.”

Dewey also had a utopian vision for America and he wanted the
common schools to achieve his vision. To create a socialist
America, public schools had to mold generations of children into
the habit of obedience. In his Pedagogic Creed of 1897, Dewey
wrote, “Every teacher should realize he is a social servant set
apart for the maintenance of the proper social order and the
securing of the right social growth. . .”

By the early twentieth century, public schools had expanded
their functions into areas undreamed of in the 1850s. Schools
took on the role of social agencies, with nurses, social
centers, playgrounds, school showers, kindergartens, and
“Americanization” programs for immigrants. Public schools became
a major agency for social control.

Unfortunately, today’s public schools are fulfilling Mann’s and
Dewey’s socialist vision with a vengeance. There is hardly any
area of children’s lives that school authorities don’t push to
control or manipulate.

Politicians and public-school apologists in many states are now
pushing programs that would make kindergarten compulsory. Public
schools also now spend billions of dollars for psychological
counseling, school-lunch programs, parent welfare-outreach
programs, special-education classes, bilingual classes,
early-childhood programs, drug and sex education classes, as
well as programs for millions of “at-risk” or “special-needs”
children.

This government-knows-best philosophy is the deepest reason why
public schools get away with educational murder and can never be
fixed. Many public-school apologists believe that your
children’s education must be dictated by local governments and
school authorities.

By implication, they believe that parents are an annoyance at
best, and at worst a danger to their children’s proper
education. That is why public-school true believers will never
voluntarily give up control over our children. They see
themselves as noble idealists who know what is best for our
children. That is why these “idealists” have contempt for
parent’s rights.
