If you led out with a pair at Everest, the worst thing you can see is a flop of all overs. Your heart sinks and you immediately want to check-fold and curse your bad luck.
Well guess what, even if you have 10s, the likelihood of not seeing an over is about 25%. 75 % of the time you’re going to see a card that you don’t like. But what should be common knowledge is that even though your poker hand can now be beaten by the high card on the flop, it does not mean that your opponent has that card. He’s likely just as scared of it as you are.
It actually works to your advantage to have a little pair on a board with lots of high cards. Say you lead out with 7s and the flop is K J 8. Your opponent may very well be beating you, but if you bet, you’re representing top pair. If he has a jack, he’s beating your 7s but is still highly likely to fold.
So, when you see a flop that intimidates you, remember that you’re not the only one who is intimidated. Just because you’re probably beat does not mean you should back off. Usually, all you have to do in poker games is make sure your opponent does not have a great hand. If you can take advantage of their doubt, you can take advantage of them.

I was in a game a few weeks ago and I started out with a huge streak of absolute crap poker online hands. I swear, it seems like it happens every time: I sit down at a sit ‘n go, totally excited to have some fun, maybe win some cash, and then I spend the next few hours folding, folding, folding. After what seemed like an eternity, I noticed that the blinds were starting to hurt my stack, so I figured that it was time for a speculative hand, and I started to look for an opportunity at Everest.
The two players to my left were pretty passive, so I waited until I was in the dealer position and no one had raised around the table, so I limped in with my Jack-8 unsuited and prayed that the blinds wouldn’t raise. They didn’t, and the flop came out Queen-10-6. So close, and yet so far; I figured that it wasn’t worth paying to draw out on a gut-shot straight draw, so I was getting ready to fold when the table checked to me. I checked, the turn was a 9, and I had one opponent bet, trying to show the straight, with one other player calling his bluff. I reraised, got called, and my straight held out, almost tripling me up and giving me a big enough stack to take over the poker online table.
Spec hands don’t often win, but when they do, they tend to win big.

It has begun and you cannot help but get trapped in the exhilaration. Televisions and large screens are set and crates of beer are ready, and also the match schedule is pasted on walls or put in the diary, to prevent conflict with anything else. Sporting jerseys of their favourite teams, the fans are prepared. Ladies and Gents, the football world cup 2010 has begun with a bang and across the world countries are reaching fever pitch.
There is no way of escaping this year’s biggest competitive event, and we tend to adore a good bit of harmless nationalism coupled with harmony; getting excited for your homeland is something brilliant, mainly if they are triumphant. Wherever you are in the world, show your support for your country’s team with coloured sky lanterns, obtainable in every shade appropriate to your team’s playing strip. If you’re unable to make up your mind about who you’ll be supporting, no problem- our packs of coloured sky lanterns are available in an array of colours, with something to match you, whichever team you will be rooting for.
So get out the lanterns and release them for your players, and who knows, chances are you’ll even help them bring home the big reward! Let go of them and look at the gorgeous exhibition that adorns the sky.

Time and time again we’ve advocated that you play a tight-aggressive poker game. But sometimes, if you’re playing against a table of other people who are also playing a similar tight-aggressive poker game, you have to change it up a little. A little trick we in the poker world like to call style variation. It’s a simple concept, but it’s an advanced concept at the same time. If you’re not comfortable playing solid ABC tight-aggressive poker yet, this trick isn’t for you. If you are, carry on reading. When you see that everyone around you is playing tight poker, you have to adapt. It’s like rock paper, scissors. If you keep playing like the tight-aggressive scissors, then you’re most likely going to break even. If you switch to rock mode, and only strike when you have a monster, you more likely to get a return for your time and on your investment. On the other hand, if you’re playing against a bunch of rocks, a tight aggressive (scissors) style won’t work so well, as they’ll crush your scissors as they’re only going to strike when they have a monster to crush your hand. So, with the rocks, you play like the unpredictable, loose leaf paper. You play more marginal hands, you steal and bluff more. And you open your starting range to include hands that you normally wouldn’t play against other opponents. When you begin to see the players as these three different types, then you easily begin to see, how to switch up your style and provide a little variation to your game, and with it improve your winrate.

There is one pastime that never fails to amuse us: people watching. This is the process of watching the people around you and inevitably being amused by their quirks. People watching allows you to mentally comment on everything about the people around you: from their activities to their personal quirks to their outfits. Some of the best places to traditionally people watch have been the places where large groups of people gather. This can range from public sporting games to the beach. One of the newest ways to people watch, however, is at the online poker table.
Just think about the basics of people watching. When you look at the people around you and note their individual quirks, aren’t you doing the same thing that you would be doing anyway at the online poker table? A good poker player is trained to note tells. These tells could easily be the same individual quirks that you would use to profit at the table. Using the people watching skills that you already have at the poker online table will teach you how to win the big pots. You can make your game better by doing what you already know what to do. Try people watching at the poker table to really make yourself into a poker pro.

Unfortunate news for Europe’s premier casino Everest poker. Last year’s sponsor of the WSOP has seen some drops in its poker revenue in the third and fourth quarters of 2009. The cause has been attributed to the current declining economic climate in the European regions.
Formerly owned by GigaMedia, Everest sold to Mangas Gaming in a 100 million dollar deal earlier this year.
In the second quarter poker online revenue dropped 36% down to 17.4 million compared to the benchmark from a year earlier.
Third quarter revenues from poker followed suit dropping 33% to 15.8 million from the former year’s performance.
And from projections 4th quarter is expected to follow suit.
It seems that the active depositing customers have fallen off a bit from 165k down to 156k players.
However, the second and third quarters have seen a rise in the new depositing customers, around 34k more players who haven’t deposited in the past. This of course is a good sign. Another good sign for Everest is the newest house bill introduced by Representative Barney Frank, which would effectivey reverse the UIGEA in the US and make the US market open again for competitors wishing to service the US.
No comments were made of Everest Casino’s revenues.

In Texas Hold ‘Em poker, most players are happy to get a suited Ace as a starter hand. If three cards to the suit come out on the board, then it will complete the nut flush. And the Ace could always just win the pot by making high pair.
Suited Ace hands though are not all equal. Some are have more power to complete a winning hand other than the nut flush. The other suited card -the kicker - is important too. A King kicker is obviously a powerful hand and can be played from any position, even with a raise. Other highly ranked cards from 10 through the Queen are powerful too because these can complete a straight, or produce high pair or two high pairs.
It is the medium strength poker online cards, from 6-9, that are riskier to play. These cannot complete to a straight, and if the kicker card does pair, it is not especially powerful. You can call the big blind pre-flop with these cards if there is no raise ahead of you, but if the flop misses your cards, with no Ace, kicker or suit match, then prepare to fold.
With suited Aces, the smaller cards 2-5, can also complete to straight, giving these starters more potential than the medium card kicker. However, it is still a weak Ace without the matching suit or straight materializing, and should probably be folded if any raise comes out when you play poker online.

Chinese Lanterns have been very fashionable this season the Chinese Lanterns team have immensely enjoyed grabbing out the camera to get some snaps of these magical objects Sailing into the air.Well in all honestness we have been utilising digital cam’s as opposed to film due to the ease of functioning and adjustments of the photo’s;Quick edit and instant playback of shots as well as the storage to take pic’s in the 1000’s in one outing! The capacity cap of my old polaroid 24 pics camera seems antiquated by comparability. I recently purchased a new camera and can confirm to you it was an committed and extended process. There are many different facets of the buying decisionto get your head around and that’s before taking into account the reviews that tend to oppose each other to some extent. It can be a bit trying at the best of times. From my experience it pays to have a good resource site such as dPreview on speed dial it breaks the camera’s into families such as compact, prosumer etc. It also features user yielded content and some well written articles on the different models. But after all that the decison does actually and figuratively rest in your hands.. You really need to get one in your hands to know what feels right for your style of photography

I have seen far too many poker players think that they will win the hand simply because they happen to start off with an Ace-King suited. It’s a good hand, don’t get me wrong. But an Ace-King suited is not the miracle hand that so many playing guides make it out to be. It will not win you the game just on its own. You have to know how to play it properly. Don’t fall into the beginners traps that are commonly associated with Ace-King suited. One of the problems that many poker players make with an Ace-King suited is not to play aggressively enough. You need to project the image to the other players that you are holding a monster. In an ideal situation they would fold right away, after depositing a fortune in the pot of course. This doesn’t really happen a lot, though so most players with Ace-King just try to make the pot as soon as possible. Playing aggressively in the beginning may seem to go against the logical choice of waiting to see what’s in the community cards, but do it anyway. Waiting to see what gets laid down in the center of the casino table just means that you miss the opportunity to get the bets in the pot.
